Josh Bonis
Real Experience
I oversee projects for corporate clients such as Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan. My journey in the AV sector began with Row Seven, a software house, and AVM, an integrator in the UK. I enjoy working with the Lucid team and the flexibility the company offers. My greatest strengths lie in staying calm under pressure and being able to relate to people, which is essential in managing high-stakes projects. My career path naturally led me to this role after working with other companies in the AV sector.
Real Expertise
I specialise in project management, commissioning and system deployment. With a background in telecoms, I studied in Wellington, NZ, and started my career with Telstra Clear. After moving to the UK for an ‘OE’ (Overseas Experience), I worked for AVM and Row Seven before joining Lucid. In the AV industry, I focus on managing projects and operations, ensuring the successful delivery of systems. As a Crestron Certified Master Programmer and holding a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering, I take pride in being responsible for a large portion of Lucid’s revenue and becoming a Partner of the company. I get a sense of accomplishment from seeing systems come to life and watching the Lucid team exceed their goals.
Real Life
I’m passionate about family and all things related to sports, particularly New Zealand sport. I also enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, skiing and rugby. I believe my best attributes for diligence and work ethic have been inherited from my parents and siblings. My whole family is incredibly supportive of me and this has enabled me to accomplish what I have done in my career so far. My ambition is to balance running a successful business while being a devoted husband and father, ensuring that both roles complement each other to lead to personal fulfilment.

Mike Backler
Real Experience
I guide the strategic direction of the company while still being hands-on with enterprise developments. I also assist our Developers with design and coding challenges. Currently, I manage our UBS account and I’m the lead Developer for Blueprint. Before joining Lucid, I spent 13 years at Crestron, with my last role as EMEA Training & CSP Manager. I’ve always loved solving puzzles, and working in software development within AV brings its own unique set of challenges, which keeps my problem-solving skills and logical thinking engaged. Originally, I was on track to design aircraft, but after a friend helped me get a job in acoustics, from there I found my way into the AV industry. After years of traveling for work, I eventually sought out a new challenge that allowed me to be at home more.
Real Expertise
I specialise in C# programming and finance management, with a career that has spanned various roles, from delivering TVs and VCRs in London to fixing AV systems, project managing installations and programming everything from remotes to full AV systems. I also taught Crestron programming across the EMEA region and advocated for Crestron Service Providers. My expertise lies in system design and enterprise solutions. Colleagues might describe me as logical and sarcastic, always bringing a bit of dry humour to the team.
Real Life
Outside of work, my interests include motorbikes and airsoft, both hobbies I share with my adult son. Motorbikes give me a pure sense of escapism that you just don’t get from a car, and I enjoy the scene and the people. Airsoft brings a community spirit that I love, and I get satisfaction from welcoming new people and sharing what I’ve learned. When it comes to stress, my approach is simple, deal with what is right in front of me and work my way out of the situation step-by-step. My ambition is to take more time to enjoy life and focus on comfort in the here and now, before life throws its next curveball.

Richard Foy
Real Experience
I manage various university and corporate accounts, currently deploying multiple teaching room systems across several control platforms. Before joining Lucid, I worked as an Engineering Technician, a tutor at Stephenson College and held multiple roles at Quadrant Visual Solutions. My experience also includes freelance work as an event technician across audio, lighting and projection. I enjoy working on challenging projects with a talented team. My passion for the AV industry stems from the constant opportunities for creativity and innovation. Being part of a skilled and collaborative team drives my commitment to excellence, and I aim to continue building on our strong client relationships while ensuring a supportive work environment for the team.

I specialise in system design with extensive expertise in audio and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). My career began in electrical engineering, evolving into a passion for audiovisual (AV) systems. From event management to control system programming, my hands-on technical knowledge is paired with a client-focused approach, ensuring tailored solutions for every project. I’m proud to have contributed to award-winning projects and to have been part of Lucid’s growth from the start.
Real Life
I enjoy countryside walks, particularly when the weather is favourable, and I am an avid follower of Formula 1, particularly the engineering and strategic elements of the sport.

Wayne George
Real Experience
I work on a variety of projects, from bespoke applications and back-end components to overseeing quality assurance processes. In addition to supporting our Blueprint control software platform, I am currently developing custom solutions for an interactive games experience for one of our clients. I began my career at Row Seven, which introduced me to the AV software industry, and when Row Seven merged with Lucid in 2016, I transitioned into my current role. I love the flexibility and variety of my role, as we are constantly evolving with new technologies that bring exciting challenges.

My expertise lies in software development, particularly in creating bespoke applications and ensuring smooth back-end operations. I am creative, inventive, dedicated, open to learning and my curiosity drive me to find new ways to solve problems and enhance existing systems. I take pride in the natural progression of my career, moving from programming standard systems to delving deeper into the "how" and "why" behind what we do.
Real Life
Outside of work, I’m passionate about health, wellbeing and nutrition. I enjoy walking, swimming and weight training to stay fit. I also like journaling and exploring how our interactions with one another shape who we are.

Shane Tuffey
Real Experience
I focus on framework and driver development for control systems. My current work involves our Blueprint system, which is designed to be platform agnostic and easily configurable for all clients. With over 17 years of experience in control systems, I previously worked as an advanced technical support engineer for Crestron, gaining in-depth knowledge of their technology. Working at Lucid allows me to be a part of a small but mighty team where I can develop my skills and pursue my passion for software development.
Real Expertise
I specialise in C# programming and Crestron hardware configuration, with a strong background in troubleshooting control systems. I have built my career on providing control system solutions and I am proud to be a Crestron Certified Programmer. My greatest strength lies in troubleshooting, where I enjoy offering logical solutions to complex problems. When dealing with stressful situations, I find that taking a break and having a cup of tea helps me reset and refocus.
Real Life
I enjoy staying active through dancing bachata and salsa, as well as swimming, running and DIY. Dancing allows me to socialise, progress in a skill and stay healthy.

Iain Scott
Real Experience
As a Senior Software Engineer and Partner at Lucid, I’m a key resource for technically complex requests, responsible for the company’s internal and external documentation. I’m currently leading the development of the scoring, admission and team management system for GoQuest, an indoor challenge zone game complex in Dublin. My career spans diverse roles, from my early days in NHS Radiotherapy and EMI Recording Studios to programming and product design in Geneva with LEM S.A., and later Yamaha, Electrosonic and AVMI. I joined Lucid in 2016, initially as a part-time expert, and grew into a full-time Partner as my role evolved. I like that my role gives me a lot of autonomy, it never feels corporate, and I’m always challenged creatively.
Real Expertise
My expertise lies in solution vision, product design and creating complex algorithms and architectures. At heart, I’m an engineer first and a programmer second. Over the years, I’ve mastered everything from equipment servicing and audio installations to programming full AV systems. My strengths are in analysis, logic and meticulous attention to detail. I’m proud of how my career naturally progressed to focus on complex code models and communications. I take pride in developing code that covers more use cases with fewer lines and I thrive on tackling the hardest problems.
Real Life
Over the years I have sailed yachts, flown planes, hiked mountains and written music. For me, engineering is the perfect blend of imagination and technical ability, where I get to create complex systems that you can neither see, hear, nor touch.

Pratik Bhargava
Real Experience
I currently work on projects for Morgan Stanley and JPMC, where I focus on control systems programming. Before joining Lucid, I worked for several AV installers in India, including Vega Global and Actis. I enjoy collaborating with a team of incredibly smart people. I am a hard worker with the ability to wear multiple hats at once. I joined this role to concentrate on the aspects of AV I am most passionate about: programming… and making a good cup of coffee.

My specialisation lies in Crestron programming, though my career has seen me take on roles in audio programming, project management and pre-sales. I am proud of the skills I have developed across various areas of the AV industry, which have enabled me to be dedicated, versatile and always willing to learn.
Real Life
I like gaming , watching football and I enjoy the constant challenge of learning new things. The dynamic nature of AV programming keeps me engaged, and there is always something new to learn, which is what I love most, and I get to work with some very cool tech.

Real Experience
I focus on implementing Crestron code for clients such as JPMC and UBS. Before joining Lucid, I worked for Hometech Europe, where I honed my skills in AV integration. I was drawn to Lucid by the opportunity to contribute to their innovative projects and my current role allows me to do what I am truly passionate about.
Real Expertise
My areas of expertise include Simpl+, Simpl, VTP, and strong communication and time management skills. I started my career as an AV Integrator at Biotex LTD in 2008, followed by Hometech Europe in 2016. My greatest strengths are adaptability, collaboration, attention to detail and determination. My passion for what I do keeps me motivated, and I approach stressful situations by staying calm and focusing on solutions.

I enjoy team sports and gardening, which give me a sense of community and belonging. My ambition is to continue achieving personal and professional growth, constantly striving for self-actualisation.

I specialise in React Web App Development and UI/UX design, with additional expertise in Crestron and QSC programming. My skills allow me to create user-friendly applications while ensuring seamless integration with control systems.

Fiona Lloyd Owen
Real Experience
I balance my three key roles, always prioritising as needed. My experience spans several notable companies, including BT plc, Price Waterhouse and Spicer Oppenheim. What I enjoy most about working here is witnessing the growth of a concept and being part of a close-knit team. My greatest strengths lie in problem-solving and fact-finding, always following a thread until its conclusion.

I specialise in back-office management, fact-finding, dealing with people and bookkeeping. Over the years, my career has included roles in marketing, personnel, event organisation, legal proofreading and as a personal assistant. My proudest accomplishment is being part of the foundation that has shaped Lucid into what it is today. Colleagues would describe me as reliable and approachable, always ready to lend a hand when needed.

I enjoy photography, sketching, watercolour painting, walking, writing and reading. I love what I do because it offers a lot of variety, keeping my mind active and engaged. I thrive on the challenges each day presents, and when faced with stressful situations, I take a deep breath and approach them calmly, knowing that swift action eases the burden. Real Experience
I have worn many hats throughout my journey in the AV world, from pre-sales and system design to project management and programming. Working 80+ hours a week taught me the importance of focus, which led me to Lucid. Here, I found a team of like-minded technology enthusiasts and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, including supporting the Mercedes F1 team globally. Being able to make a meaningful impact on such projects has been a career highlight.

I specialise in front-end user interface, including design, concept, strategy and execution, user research and architecture. Managing a team has allowed me to share responsibilities while continuously expanding my knowledge. What started as personal hobbies in tech has evolved into deep expertise through years of hands-on experience in these areas.

My passion for sound engineering grew into music production and teaching, eventually leading to designing advanced audio systems and multi-channel cinema rooms for high-profile clients. I also have a deep interest in photography and cinematography, which lets me explore creative storytelling in new ways. My personal and professional interests have always naturally progressed and intertwined.
