Real Experience
As a DSP Engineer at Lucid, my responsibilities include programming audio DSPs and commissioning audio systems. Before joining Lucid I spent 10 years at Biamp Systems as an Applications Engineer, which gave me a strong foundation in the industry. Alongside that, I worked for 7 years as a freelance Audio and Electroacoustic Engineer, and I’ve also gained experience with several system integrators and audio product manufacturers. I was drawn to the role at Lucid as it felt like a perfect fit, especially working with such a like-minded team. I would describe myself as a stickler for detail, which I think is one of my greatest strengths.
Real Expertise
My career has always been centred around audio. I specialise in designing and programming DSPs, as well as commissioning and fine-tuning systems on site. I also work on developing electroacoustic products, so I get to bridge the gap between installed systems and product development. Over the years, I have built a reputation for being the go-to person for solving tricky audio system issues. Colleagues would describe me as versatile, and I think that comes from having experience across both technical development and practical system work.
Real Life
Outside of work, I’ve always been passionate about music and enjoy listening to a wide mix of styles. Looking ahead, one of my ambitions is to secure a patent for my work in audio, something that would reflect both my passion for innovation and my dedication to the field.
