Lucid recently partnered with a major organisation in the financial sector to improve the consistency, scalability and user experience of their meeting spaces. The client’s existing setup was built around a Cisco codec, but as their requirements grew, so too did the need for a more flexible, future-ready solution.
Our role was to streamline their audiovisual environment through expert AV consulting, bespoke audiovisual software development and integration of robust AV control systems.
The client had an established system where Crestron touch panels were programmed to keep pace with Cisco’s evolving Navigator interface. While this worked in principle, it became increasingly complex to scale the solution across larger, more sophisticated rooms. Each upgrade required maintaining alignment between two user interfaces, leading to duplication of effort and potential inconsistencies. The challenge was to create a unified control experience that worked seamlessly across all rooms, regardless of complexity or size, while retaining flexibility for additional features.
Lucid adapted the client’s system by shifting the Cisco Navigator to the forefront as the primary user interface. This meant the Navigator drove both the appearance and control of the underlying technology. Instead of Crestron touch panels leading the interaction, they became a supporting layer, enhancing functionality where required.
With this approach, the client could easily incorporate additional features such as:
By leading with Cisco Navigator, the organisation achieved a consistent user experience across every room, regardless of scale or equipment.
The result was a streamlined system that:
