Blueprint Shortlisted for AV Awards 2025

Introducing Lucid Blueprint: Our AV Awards 2025 Entry

In November 2024, Lucid launched Blueprint, our next-generation AV configuration management platform and software framework. We are thrilled that Blueprint has been shortlisted for the AV Awards 2025, competing in the prestigious Control and Management Technology category. These awards celebrate groundbreaking innovations across the audiovisual industry.

What Makes Blueprint an Award-Winning Platform?

Blueprint empowers organisations to seamlessly manage AV systems using a cloud-based design tool linked to an intuitive HTML5 interface. Rather than relying on specialist programmers for each room, users can craft room schematics within the design tool and deploy production ready code across entire AV systems. The result is fully scalable, customisable control and management technology that creates  efficient, self-sufficient AV ecosystems.

Breaking Down the Blueprint Process

  1. Design Tool using Microsoft Azure – an interactive drawing app where users map out audiovisual, lighting, temperature and content sharing components.
  2. Driver Deployment – built-in device drivers create deployable packages aligned to room schematics.
  3. Fast Track Configuration – replicate schematics and tweak individual zones in minutes, saving countless hours on setups.
  4. Single-Control Interface – every room is managed via a control panel or PC, using the same HTML5 control framework.

Client Spotlight – Real World Benefits

Financial Services

Working with an international financial services client, Blueprint adapted their Cisco codec infrastructure to drive UI updates through blueprint driven Crestron panels with HTML5 and Cisco Navigator panels with Control integration. As a result, when rooms are scaled in complexity, the client now creates enhanced, consistent user experiences, even across divisible, DSP (Digital Signal Processing), MCR (Master Control Room) and MFR (Multi-Function Room) spaces.

University College London (UCL)

UCL’s AV teams now deploy repeatable, supportable code across multiple teaching spaces. “The simplicity and power of the Blueprint Design Tool cuts out the necessity for complex programming… we are now in control, while delivering a considerable saving by removing the need for outside technical support,” said Emmanuel Tychus, AV Technical Specialist at UCL.

Why Blueprint Should Win AV Awards 2025?

  • Accessibility and Scalability – Blueprint brings commercial‑grade AV control to all users, not just programmers.
  • Time and Cost Efficiency – rapid deployment reduces commissioning times and dependency on AV consultants.
  • Enterprise-Ready Platform – standardised code and remote packaging support entire estates, from boardrooms to lecture theatres.
  • Sustainability and Control – local management and integration with energy saving tools reduce onsite visits and energy use.

The Bigger Picture

By entering Blueprint into the Control and Management Technology category, Lucid aims to demonstrate how their platform redefines AV system design, deployment and management, by empowering clients with real-time control, cost savings and operational agility.

Stay tuned for the AV Awards finalists announcement later this year. We look forward to celebrating the future of control and management technology with AV Awards 2025 at Battersea Evolution on the 7th November 2025.
